Turbury Equine is situated in the foothills of the West Yorkshire Pennines, mid way between Leeds and Manchester. Although just 10 minutes from the M62 with excellent transport links we also have the luxury of open moorland riding a few hundred yards from our doorstep. Once the domain of packhorses criss-crossing the moor with wool and cloth, these paths now provide pleasure for riders, walkers and cyclists alike.
Turbury Equine is owned and operated by the Lumb family, who have farmed at Far Turbury for four generations. Originally farming both crops and livestock, we now specialise in Suckler Cows and beef production.
We have been involved with horse livery on a small scale for many years and, Dawn Lumb, who lives on the premises and manages Turbury Equine has realised a personal ambition through the decision to diversify into the Equine market on a full time basis. Dawn is BHS qualified in both stable management and riding, and runs the yard with help and support from the rest of the family and a great team of BHS qualified staff. We pride ourselves in our high level of stable management ensuring your horse is well looked after, happy and contented.

Facilities Overview
- Opening hours 9am to 9pm (outside of these hours by arrangement only)
- First class livery yard with individual tack rooms or lockers
- All year turnout in small groups on well fenced and maintained fields
- Excellent hacking
- Indoor arena for livery use and external hire
- Home grown top quality haylage/hay for sale
- Holiday and starting/schooling livery available
- Proprietor lives on site protected by security system for your peace of mind
