Sunday 22 August 2010 - TURBURY ANNUAL SHOW
Yes, after many requests we’ve
finally relented! After many days trawling events calendars
we’ve finally found a date which does not clash with too many other
events – no mean feat!
We are currently liaising with potential sponsors prior to compiling
the schedule so if you’re interested in sponsoring a class please
get in touch.
There will be classes for young and old including in hand, natives,
arabs, coloureds, equitation and many more not forgetting fun
classes and handy pony too.
Guest judge for the fun classes will hopefully be James Donaldson who currently plays for Bradford Bulls RLFC, lets hope he can make it!

8 July 2010 - SILVERSAND NATURAL HORSEMANSHIP & EAL DEMO/CLINIC
Steve Halfpenny (originally from
England now based in Australia) is over touring the country helping
horse owners to help their horses with behavioural issues.
Steve trained with Pat Parelli in the 90s becoming part of their
Instruction team before branching out on his own in 2002.
So if you’re having difficulties communicating with your horse or
would like to learn more about Natural Horsemanship methods then
come along.
Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) encourages people to think about life from the horse's point of view and help them to understand how horses think and behave. Horses do not work with verbal communication - their safety depends on their understanding of subtle non-verbal signals. EAL enables people to learn how to communicate with the horse without using force or bribery so the horse can understand. By becoming a leader for the horse the person is able to increase their own self awareness.
